Making a pie from start to finish can be a daunting task for even the most seasoned home bakers. In this hands-on class, we’ll help you overcome your pie fears & show you all the tips, tricks, and techniques for making, baking, and serving the best pies of the season.
We’ll begin with rolling & shaping Pâte Brisée (flaky all-butter pastry) – the foundation for any perfect pie. Next, we’ll make the filling & topping for Apple Pie with Spiced Crumble. Then you’ll learn the secrets to making a decadent, just-sweet-enough Bittersweet Chocolate Pecan Pie with a smooth custard and loads of crunchy toasted pecans. While the pies are baking, you and your classmates will relax & enjoy a new twist on a classic treat: Spiced Pumpkin Pie Pudding with whipped cream and finished with graham crumble. Each guest will make two 5” pies to take home.
Whether you’re a seasoned baker or pastry novice, you’ll come away from this class with all the tips and tricks you need to take the stress out of holiday baking & build your confidence as a pie maker.
Teens aged 14 and up can register for the class accompanied by a paying adult.
Please be reminded - that this class is for adults 18 and above.
Cancelling Classes and Refunds. Due to the advanced preparation we do for each class and the limited number of seats - we do not offer refunds or credits for whatever reason. If you can not make it to the class, you are more than welcome to send someone in your place.
Large groups. Please note, we cap our registration of group bookings to 6 people. While we do accommodate the registration of 6 individuals in a group, we can not guarantee that you will be grouped or will have a group entirely by yourselves. To ensure a smooth-flowing and practical class, we divide groups evenly. We will endeavor to put your group together always if we can. If you would like to book a Private Event you can email us here.
